Trolling

I don’t know if I have bad luck or what, but I have tried trolling all types of lakes this year and still haven’t caught one big fish. I expected to hook some good size pike, walleye and bass on Kent Lake trolling. Nope nothing, I caught all of my fish just regular fan casting this year.

I remember when we used to go out on Lake St. Clair and catch all types of fish trolling.

I still haven’t tried live bait, but I think I should of caught something on one of my crankbaits this year. It could be that the fish act differently on the inland lakes. Lake St. Clair is a huge lake and there’s some really huge fish in there that seem to like the style of trolling.

I wouldn’t think that fish could tell the difference, but obviously they can. It could just be that I can cover more ground fan casting rather than trolling.

I’m still not sure. But, I do know that I’m not going to give up. Going to have to try some crawler harnesses and give that a go. Live bait might do the trick! If you have any tips for me, please post them in the forum, thank you.
