Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Well I didn’t too good of fishing last morning. Ended up catching two smallmouth bass and one largemouth bass, so three fish all together.

Both the smallmouth bass weighed in around 2 pounds, so they did put up a great deal of a fight. I had to do some extensive searching around the lake to find these bass. I also found out that a spinnerbait was the best lure to use that day, I was fishing in 8-10 feet deep of water. The spots I caught these bass were between 12 mile road and the 400 club.

I woke up around 6am and got on the lake around 7am, I was pretty surprised I didn’t do better because the morning suppose to be the prime time for fishing. Last week I was fishing doing the afternoon and caught more fish. I almost forgot to mention, I did catch a rock bass as well, but I don’t really count those anymore.

I even tried trolling in deeper water where I was catching a lot of fish last week, the only think I picked up was the rock bass. I was hoping to pick up maybe a muskellunge or northern pike, I guess there’s always tomorrow.
