Redband Trout Jarbidge River

Inland Subspecies of Rainbow Trout

If you’re ever in the southern part of Idaho, you have to visit the Owyhee Canyonlands.

The area is beautiful, the wilderness is completely untouched from any human construction. In the southwest region of that area is the Jarbridge River, hardly fished by any anglers, the river is just filled with redband trout (a subspecies of the rainbow trout.)

The experience of fishing in the wild is just breathtaking, a feeling you’ve never had before if you’ve just fished in the city. No noise or anything to worry about, just the soothing wind at your face and beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see.

I may sound like I’ve fished this area before, however I never have. I’ve just read from other angler’s experiences. But, I do know what it’s like to be out in the wild and nothing but you and your closest friend fishing in a beautiful body of water. To me, life is all about the experiences and before I die, I would like to fish a few places like this.
