Rapala X-Rap Lure for Bass

Rapala X-Rap Fishing Lure

A new fishing lure I got my eye is the Rapala X-Rap. This is a great fishing lure that can be twitched on top like the Zara Spook or it can dive to around five feet where smallmouth bass might be lurking.

The patters and colors Rapala has to offer on the X-Rap is superb. The one in the picture looks very similar to a perch. A fish that smallmouth bass and northern pike love to feed on.

A stop in go retrieve is a really good way to trigger the smallmouth bass into biting the Rapala X-Rap.

The pause gives time for the bass to bash the lure with all their might. In return you get that thrill of the huge intimidating vibration through your fishing pole, one of my favorite attributes in fishing.

As you’ll probably see this summer when I get some video footage on tape with my Go Pro Camera!

Da Greek Yooper and my brother love when they feel fish bite too. I always tell them easy on setting the hook, you’re going to tear the bait right out of their mouth. But they never do, they both set the hook perfectly.

I on the other hand still need a little work, I just get so excited when the fish hammers my fishing lure.

Anways, getting swayed from the topic at hand. I just love fishing so much, the thoughts just flow right out of my head into my articles! Give the Rapala X-Rap a look see!
