Mike Pharr, both bass fisherman and firefighter of Shreveport Louisiana, just won the Bassmaster Central Open fishing tournament on Lake Texoma.
This is Pharr’s first BASS win. On Saturday he added 10 pounds, 13 ounces to his final score which was 27 pounds, 4 ounces to take the fishing tournament.
Pharr stated there wasn’t even one particular lure that made a highlight of the fishing tournament, he caught each fish on a slew of different baits from his tackle box. Lures such as as the Omega Revelation swimming jig, a Tru-Trac spinnerbait and what he called an LSU crankbait (it’s purple and chartreuse).
It’s great to see Mike Pharr win a the BASS fishing tournament since he’s been borrowing boats from his friends recently because of a blow engine on his own boat. One thing is for sure, he’s going to take the winnings and make some hefty repairs to his fishing boat.
I congratulate Mike Pharr for his win, any firefighter in my book will always be a champion.
I just hope he’ll have a few more bass tournament wins in the upcoming future.
