Lost my Favorite Fishing Hat

Well have some bad news to bear, it’s really not that bad for you to hear or read about, it’s bad news for me.

I lost my favorite fishing hat, my White Sox baseball hat.

I’ve been fishing with this hat ever since Senior year in high school, you can see in the picture to the left it was pretty beat up.

It was still wearable though, there wasn’t any serious tears in it. I’m very pissed off, what happened is I stood up while driving my Crestliner fishing boat, I forgot to turn my hat around. It blew off pretty quickly, I whipped around to see if I could pick it up in the water but I didn’t spot it anywhere.

I just felt so bad for the rest of the day of fishing. I decided to go to Lids hat shop in the mall near me, couldn’t find the one I wanted so I couldn’t get an exact replacement. I guess when I get some money I’ll have to order the exact one over the internet. Still have to make sure my size is right.

For now I’ve been fishing with my adjustable Nautica hat, it’s not bad. It’s comfortable and has been a good help blocking out the sun. My old White Sox hat will surely be missed, it’s now sitting on the bottom of Lake St. Clair, between Ford’s Cove and Grosse Pointe Shore park. Maybe it’s making a nice home for some Goby or Bluegill.

My hat I had to wear for the rest of the day fishing.
