If you live in Michigan and looking for a great walleye fishing club to join, checkout Lake St. Clair’s Walleye Association. Since 1976, the club is dedicated to the preservation of Lake St. Clair and it’s walleye population, with an emphasis on helping fishermen learn walleye fishing.
Each year they help establish ponds for raising walleye fry at Selfridge with the DNR.
Since the club is family based, activities include monthly meetings with guest speakers and fishing videos, an annual picnic, Christmas Pot-Luck Dinner and separate Kid’s Christmas Party, a Kid’s Summer Fishing outing and a Kid’s Ice Fishing Outing.
Monthly walleye fishing derbies are held during the summer season with individual and team divisions for adults and children. So if you’re interested, you can apply at their website here.
