I would like to talk more bout Hatcams new hat camera for fishing… I’m just thrilled about the idea, but I’m still wondering if the camera will be sturdy enough for fishing on the boat. If you’ve ever been on a main lake before, it gets a little rough out there, I’m wondering if the Hatcam will wobble back in forth? This could really cause a focus problem for the camera. It probably depends how tight you wear your hat.
I’m sure the Hatcam would still be good for inland lakes though. It’s really calm and the only thing you have to worry about tampering with your camera is rain and wind. I was doing some searching on YouTube the other day and came across this sweet video of a guy fishing with the Hatcam. The footage he captures while fishing is incredible, something that would be impossible without the Hatcam if it’s just you fishing off your boat. Check it out!
While the camera footage does get a little wobbly like I said it would, the fisherman still captures some great footage of a largemouth bass jumping out of the water. It seemed like the camera only wobbled when the fisherman set the hook.
Just imagine how much fun the Hatcam could be, now you don’t have to retell unbelievable stories to your friends anymore about the big one that got away, you’ll have proof on camera. Just this past year, I had so many cool experiences of big fish jumping out of water along with my line snapping. I always thought if I only had video footage of the excitement I experienced fishing out on Lake St. Clair, man that would be neat. Now with breakthrough technology, we all have that chance!
