Happy Memorial Day! Fishing?

I would like to wish everyone a happy memorial day from Sportsman’s Habitat.

Whether you are a outdoorsman who has served in the service or know someone who has, this is a time of rest to give thanks for those who have fought for our freedom.

I’ve lost a friend who I grew up with in the Iraq war.

I never knew him as an adult, but I remember him as young kid and he was quite a nice person and fun to hang out with.

It’s just so sad to hear someone you know that died in the war. I just hope he’s somewhere heavenly right now.

This sure is a good day to go fishing, so did you?

It was kind of rainy near me, but we did get in some fishing at the Grosse Point City Pier on Lake St. Clair. I caught 5 smallmouth bass and two sheephead fish, I posted them down below to show you what they looked like.

I’ll tell you what, next to golfing, fishing is the perfect hobby for a Veteran to take part in on Memorial Day. I hear quite a few states having fishing tournaments for Veterans, kind of a neat idea ya know…

For the past few hours, I’ve been watching movies such as Glory, The Patriot, and Saving Private Ryan. All three movies were great, but man were they horrific!

I just couldn’t imagine taking part of something so dreadful and gruesome. If anyone has comments for Memorial Day please submit them down below, otherwise pray for our soldiers and having a good Memorial Day.

Here’s the fishing pictures I promised, my friend Cameron caught a Silver Bass(White Bass).

I also watched Black Hawk Down, another great movie!
