Dress Warm for Fall Fishing

Just a reminder for all fall fisherman, make sure you dress warm before you go out fishing.

When I was outside at my home the other day, which is very close to the lake, I thought it was pretty warm out. But, soon as I got out on the lake, temperatures immediately dropped due to the wind chill.

I forgot my gloves and boy was I paying for it the other day jig fishing. The hands are always the first ones to go since they are of small portion to your body and touching a cold reel handle can do it too.

My face was kind of cold also, but that can be solved by just putting my back to the wind.

The same goes for hunting! I remember back in the day when I bow hunted, my hands were always the coldest part of my body no matter what. Next would be my feet, then my face. Always go prepared with good insulated clothes before you go hunting, don’t want to end up like a frozen Popsicle in a tree stand.

It’s always better to go with layered clothing too, that way if it gets warm out you can just take a layer off.
You never can have enough clothes on!
