Bass Caught at Kent Lake

This picture was taken last year after a good day of fishing out at Kent Lake.

I alone caught these five huge largemouth, there’s a decent size bluegill in there too if you can spot’em.

The lure of choice was of course my favorite crankbait I lost this year in Lake St. Clair, rainbow trout color Bomber crankbait, was a total bummer!

This was before I owned my 16 foot Crestliner boat, I just had my old Pelican Bass Raider Pontoon fishing boat. It was a rather small fishing boat, it measured in at 10 feet long and was made out of plastic. Just enough to get two fisherman in the boat. But, it did the job for small inland lakes such as Kent Lake and Stony Creek. I kind of miss going out on it on Kent Lake, I kind of felt closer to nature and the fish.

If you don’t have a lot of money, I definitely suggest buying one of thoese small plastic pontoon fishing boats for inland lakes in your area.

They hold up quite well, very stationary for casting, and you can attach a trolling motor for transportation. The Bass Raider I bought was only $400 too.
